Under the Tide

November 6, 2016

So my son, Michael, shared a wonderfully moving story about something that was deeply troubling him in his life. Out of respect for his privacy, I will not be sharing his story. Suffices to say, we all have a 'story' like his inside every one of us.

So do I.

My son has a very big heart and is a sensitive soul, to say the least. After deciding to face his fear and doing it anyway, he was freed.

Freed from all of the paralyzing fears that were/are standing in his life's path.

My kids are made for greatness, if I can share my proud mama emotions! ALL of our kids are built for greatness, they are ALL born as genius. So nurture that greatness, that genius in the lives that you love.

Back to this story....

The very next moment, the VERY next moment...not sooner than that weight was lifted . . . two songs came on the radio.

Coincidences are devine interventions. Devine messages.

The first song was so 'freaky' because the opening lyrics were his name....Literally his name. Like he was in the room while they recorded! Lyrics so in-you-face-messges for him, he just gasped and sobbed.

Messages. They come at us every day, so pay a little attention.

And then. . . the very next song, I have the lyrics written in this post.

"Under the Tide" by Chvches

It took MY breath away and [I will share my private moment], buckled me to the ground.

I listened to the song, and sang the lyrics along with the group. So, so powerful a moment for me.

You know, I truly 'surrendered' every fear that stood in my way all thru 2015 and even into most of 2016.

It was miraculous. Nothing short of the 'ask and you shall receive' kind of moments.

But then the familiar feelings, the familiar emotions tickles our 'default' settings of our lives and kick-in to derail us from progressing at this all too proven pace.

It's subtle, but it starts to envelop you back to the 'familiar'.

This song was a release for me too.

Stay the course. Stay the course. We are ALL in this together!

My sons message was here FOR me as well.

You know my heart just bursts with joy to help facilitate growth and progress in another human being. It is exatly what I feel I must do here on earth. Its a certainty I can feel within.

Somehow, I know I am a 'message' and a 'messenger' for you right now for whatever is going on in your life.

Let's stay the course together. I know I can help. I know that I am very good at it, too. I've always related well with people. **said with confidence not arrogance** :)

Below are the lyrics.

I do have a few verses I like... but this one got me the most:

'If you can see
And you believe
Why are you so scared

But if you don't care
Then why are we here
And what do you have left'

My interpretation for me was to stay in my belief to know all things are happening FOR me and everything is EXACTLY as it should be. So 'why are you so scared'.

Just a pull to the familiar. That's all.

Notice what you are noticing.

As YOU listen to the song and read along with the lyrics, ask yourself how this might be a message FOR you.

What are your interpretations?

Message me here or https://www.facebook.com/luciaferrarolifecoach/ and we'll figure it all out.

Much love,
Lucia

Lyrics to "Under the Tide" by Chvches:

I'm watching you run
Run from the sidelines

Take in a breath
Fill in your lungs
Keeping you alive

No fear
I'll be your eyes
I'll be a lifeline

And if I can be
I'll be your strength
And it won't be long now

Head up, head up
Keep holding, holding

Your head up, head up
Keep holding

If you can see
And you believe
Why are you so scared

But if you don't care
Then why are we here
And what do you have left

Head up, head up
Keep holding, holding
Your head up, head up

Keep holding, holding

Don't you take another step
Away from here
I would go anywhere with you
What a lie

I'll break down
But you will never see
Tell me, are you happy?
Are you really happy?

Stay under the tide
Stay in my eye line

Looking ahead, there is a chance
Wherever it all ends

Head up, head up
And stay strong
Holding your head up, head up
Keep holding, holding

Slowly cross off the days
That you've said you can hide
Try to re-tie the ties
That you won't leave behind

Slowly cross off the days
That you've said you can hide
Try to re-tie the ties
That you won't leave behind
