Pushing Pause

Hello, precious one!

I've been thinking. . . (and doing, actually)

We need to push that pause button on our life and step away from the daily-routine of life.

Dis-engage, dis-connect from the hustle and bustle of our life.

A sort of retreat, if you will.

I know what you're thinking, [and probably saying out loud]... "Yeah, right! Ain't nobody got time for that!"

But sweetheart, more than a vacation, a 'retreat' offers us time to ourselves to rest, heal, reflect, and renew our spirit.

Like a butterfly, it is a time to cocoon so that we may emerge renewed, refreshed, and ready to return to our everyday lives with a new perspective.

Ahhh, perspective!

This self-imposed opportunity gives us time for uninterrupted contemplation so that we may go deep within and spend time with ourselves.

Nobody ever taught us that.

Nobody ever taught me that. Time spent in this type of reflection can offer quiet, solitude, and even some much needed silence.

When we spend days in contemplation, we can hear our hearts speaking to us.

When we take time to dis-engage with our daily routine, we have the opportunity of time to connect to the sacred geometry of the environment around us.

We will discover epiphanies and awarenesses even when we take a long, reflective walk through the woods where we can give each step our full attention.

When was the last time you did THAT for yourself?

When was the FIRST time you did THAT for yourself?

We have been sold a load of 'conditioned' crap that has gotten us into a mundane disconnect from the most important, the most intimate relationship we have. . . the relationship we have with ourselves.

We cannot blame anyone any longer because now we know better.

So, if you want to live the life you are longing to live. . . go get quiet. That's what I've been doing - here in the woods. It has been and continues to be the best experience I've offered myself in a long time.

Don't get me wrong, it can be a BITCH of awarenesses and much needed shedding, but it is totally worth the outcome! I have NEVER given myself this kind of time in all my 61 years! Doesn't that just sound so crazy?

Now that I know this process, it is officially unacceptable for me not to do this as practice and ritual.

Awareness and doing.

Let's get that critical thinking of your's to work FOR you so you can get busy crafting and doing what you've been longing to do.

Yes, of course, this will take time. But it's what you put into the time that will matter.

You are already putting time into the things you don't love doing, right?

Why would you waste any more time NOT doing what you love?

Remember, time doesn't wait for me, it keeps on goin'! [Ahh...love me a good Boston lyric!] Without the pull of deadlines, relationships, the Internet, or [name it!] self-imposed distractions, we offer ourselves time to go deep into our own solitude where we can fully reflect on our joys, our sorrows, and our fears.

We need to own and/or release anything that no longer serves us.

Rinse and repeat.

We will come back to our life renewed and ready to take on the world.

Honestly, iTunes does an update every other day!

Who else can DO this for you, except YOU! (That makes sooo much sense, I'm just baffled!)

I invite you. . . or rather, I urge you to make [even a little] time to create the space for this [deep] reflection on a daily basis. Make it part of your rituals, part of your routine.

The beauty of this dis-engagement, this retreat, is that no matter where you go or how long you stay, you'll always meet yourself when you get there.

It's you who will be found!

With much love and deep reflection,

Lucia
